Get To Know Dr. Evraire

dr lyndsay evraire

Welcome!

I’m Dr. Lyndsay Evraire, a registered psychologist and mother of three. My practice focuses on helping parents, children, and adolescents who feel alone, different, or overwhelmed find support and understanding in their challenges. I believe in the innate goodness of everyone and that we are all doing our best, which drives my commitment to supporting my clients wholeheartedly.

With a Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, I have been practicing in Ottawa since 2013 and fully registered since 2017. My expertise includes providing neuroaffirmative care and psychoeducational assessments, and I am one of the few practitioners globally certified in the Good Inside parenting method. This specialized training enhances my ability to offer effective parenting support, helping parents connect deeply with their children and adolescents and build resilience.

Over the years, my dedication to understanding each client's unique story has shaped my practice. I value fostering relationships and believe no one should face their struggles alone. My personal experience as a mother enriches my work, allowing me to relate to and connect with both parents and children or adolescents, providing practical and empathetic support.

I look forward to working together!

A Little More About Me...

A Passion For Psychology & Parenthood

My journey began with an interest in psychology and a commitment to helping others. After earning my Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, I enjoyed the work-life balance offered in private practice. Over the years, I discovered a very special passion for parenting support and neuroaffirmative care, which led me to open my own practice.

Building Expertise & Embracing Diversity

Throughout my career, I've been dedicated to providing comprehensive psychological support. I have dedicated a lot of time to understanding neurodivergence and integrating it into my practice, using strength-based approaches along with becoming a Good Inside certified parent coach.

A Personal Connection To Every Client

As a mother of three, I deeply understand the challenges parents face. My personal experiences enrich my professional practice, allowing me to relate to my clients authentically. This connection builds trust and rapport, making my practice a place where I hope everyone can feel understood and supported.

My Approach

You are, or you know, a parent, child, or adolescent struggling with feelings of isolation and/or overwhelm due to life’s challenges. You seek a space to feel supported, empowered, and accepted for who you truly are.

Imagine a place where your unique lived experience is honoured, where you gain confidence and understanding to share your strengths with the world and ask for support where needed. A space where parents can connect deeply with their children or adolescents, building skills and resilience together.

My practice offers just that—a nurturing environment focused on parenting support, psychoeducational assessments, and helping children and adolescents thrive with confidence and understanding.
